At Kairos, you customize your own vacation.  With over 1500 acres, 40 miles of trails, river activities and the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, it’s time to make your own moments – KAIROS MOMENTS – that you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Here are some of our suggested activities, but how you spend your time at Kairos is entirely up to you.

ATV/UTV/Dirt Bike Trails

Explore our trails on your ATV. Explore over 40 miles of trails on your own, or book a guided tour. 

Hiking

Kairos offers high mountain overlooks that look out over the beautiful New River Valley. There are deep canyons perfect for beautiful and secluded hikes, where the only sounds come from nature, and plateaus that provide opportunities for hikers to enjoy and create memories in the outdoors. Day Hikers are welcome too! A Hiker’s Day Pass is only $5 and can be purchased at check in at Ed’s Place. If you’re staying on the property in on our luxury yurts or camp sites, the pass is included. 

Trail Running

As home to the Old Glory Ultra Trail Run and more, trail runners love our challenging and scenic property. Trail Runner’s Day Pass is only $5 and can be purchased at check in at Ed’s Place. If you’re staying on the property, the pass is included! 

Horseback Riding Trails

At Kairos, we know that your four legged friend may or may not have hooves.  If you’re a horse enthusiast, Kairos offers over 40 miles of on-site trails that traverse the beautiful mountainous landscape. Our trails are multi-use. Unless a specific equine weekend, trail riders may also find motorized vehicles on the trail system. For group trail rides or specific requests for use of trails for horseback riding, please call us for a specialized package, we’re happy to assist in making the most of your visit! Go ahead, come to Kairos and take a ride. 

River Activities

Kairos, partnering with Tangent Outfitters,  offers a number of river activities, such as boating, fishing and swimming. Have some fun in the New River, one of the oldest and most beautiful rivers in the world!
